A chargeback is a dispute over a charge, usually an unauthorized or fraudulent one, between the customer and the company. The merchant is required to refund the entire amount, including any credit card fees. This amount is automatically deducted from the merchant's account.

There are three main issues concerning chargebacks for merchants:

They lose the payment and also the inventory if it was sent.
The fees associated with each chargeback range between $15 and $25.
